USD/CAD rises modestly, remains below 1.1300

FXStreet (Córdoba) - USD/CAD is rising modestly on Thursday but remains moving sideways and below yesterday’s highs. The pair peaked at 1.1285 and currently is moving away from the highs as it trades at 1.1265, 20 pips above the level it closed yesterday.

The loonie is the worst performer among commodity currencies, probably weakened by the decline of the price of crude oil that is falling more than 2% as the OPEC meets.

Regarding economic data, in Canada at 13:30 GMT, the current account balance for the third quarter will be release. The deficit is expected to decline from $11.87 billion to $11.10 billion.

EUR/JPY consolidates near daily lows

EUR/JPY fell to fresh daily lows during the European session, as the shared currency weakened after disappointing Eurozone data and more dovish comments from ECB President Draghi.
